Odd issue with TV turning OFF when another device is turned ON.

Now you have to work out if it is the outlet or the television ? Leave the tv where it is and plug it into an extention lead, Then run power from another circuit see what happens. And plug a lamp into the outlet, watch it and see if it blips out.

    solar pannel nickel-iron system question!?

You need to looka at it from the KWH perspective, not just KW. If you take , lets say 20ah out of the batterys then you need to put that back in How long it takes depends on the current and the time so 2A over 10 hours = 20AH OR 10A over two hours = 20AH

    Resistance in a Volt meter

QUOTE - 2. the "potential difference (difference in potential?) in the current in the neutral wire between the two leads of the voltmeter is zero". The second statement is equally as preposterous ! A little knowledge is a dangerous thing And he is teaching his nonsense to others !

    Supply to apartments

you have not yet mentioned the amp capacity of the units or the supply, But if you dont use the buss in the panel, instead hard wiring, this would allow greater amperage and the flexability to loop off for the meters. Not sure what you mean "selectivity"

Integrating Generator with Solar PV System

Nearly all invertors have an "anti-islanding" feature to prevent this from happening, the minute the invertor senses the grid is not present ( when the generator kicks in ) then the invertor will shut down to prevent any problems, as far as I know such features are usually manditory.

Or was it just loose connections No test certs did not cause the failure neither did rcd's was it wrong size / type switch ? power windows

Using a simple method like reducing the current usually using resistors will bring with it problems, youi may get the speed down but power also goes dow with it, so you end up with the correct speed but no grunt, so you have to use proper motor speed controllers as they are designed to reduce...

Is there any asbestos in meter boxes?

without seeing the box's we cannot say for sure, but YES ! many of the older box's had asbestos in them. It's usually safe to work on them, but if your drilling holes ? then use a vacuum to suck up the dust. Whilst it just requires a little comon sense your not gunna fall down dead at the first...
