    Anyone use a concrete nailer?

Well it works really well into RSJ Beams, not a single nail failed to go in! Certainly much quicker than self drilling screws. I did need to find some ear defenders though, as its really loud in steel!

Thoughts on compatible power tool batteries?

I took a punt on one of these a month ago for my Dewalt kit. With the view of getting a few more. So far all good, charges fine, hasn't exploded and lasts longer than my tired Dewalt batteries. Only down side is other trades think I'm a tight arse for using fake batteries, maybe they are...

    EICR coding for transportable unit

I do testing and maintanance of transportable units for a large nationwide company that hires transportable offices etc to building sites. Pretty much all of them are wired in T+E. I did discussed this with NICEIC technical help, he said its fine. I forget exactly what he said, but essentially...

What sort of prices should I be charging?

I recently (a few months ago) went from £25/Hour to £30/Hour with a minimum of £50. I have not noticed any difference, i am still winning around 80-90% of work. I am thinking of going to £35/hour next year. Location will make a difference, south Wales to London will vary massivly. I am...

Well i decided to get the Spit Pulsa 800E. And lets just say its ----ing awsome!! The 40mm nails go the whole way into standard concrete blocks with ease. Its good fun too :D Fixing steel capping is a breeze, hold the capping with one hand, then bang a few nails in with the other. Trunking...

Fitting consumer unit ‘portrait’ not ‘landscape’

Pretty much all the 80’s housing estates in Yate - North Bristol have the old wylex fuse boards in the outside meter cupboards. They are a royal pain to change as there is not much room with the cut-out and meters. Plus half the doors have now fallen off..... Would love to know the original...
