Stroma Certification Scheme has anyone heard of STROMA

They have been chasing us on and off for the last couple of years , but have stepped it up about 3 months ago . When our paid up membership runs out in 6 months , we are going with them. We have been with napshite since the beginning but have finally given up on funding big John's piggy bank ...

TT Supply to Barn - LONG distance - help(?)

60a on our Amtec sizing software . As davesparks says you should be pleasantly surprised by looking at paralleling , the only reason we did not on this one was due to a constraint on how we will mole it past a brook that is bang in the middle of our run !

TT Supply to Barn - LONG distance - help(?)

Have a look at the price for the cable first , before giving it up as a bad job . Almost always you are far cheaper gettting the DNO just on to the property and then looking at the rest of the run yourself. We have one at the moment for a isolated new build on one of the estates that we look...

cable ducting without pulling rope installed

We have a ball attachment for our Cobra that would do that easily , I think they do a 6mm version which may help with being that bit more flexible . Also as suggested a decent road compressor and a carrier bag should do it , but I prefer fishing line instead of string .

    Anybody got one

Got given a set from one of the wholesalers when they started getting popular a couple of years ago , been under a van seat since the first day or so apart from the odd outing to prove terminations if needed . Bloody waste of time for day to day work with all the fiddling about needed with to...

Is this a single phase welder ?

Good point Spin , but I was looking at it as more than a hobby craft set all be it a large one at 20A . I normally see these on a 2 phase 32a supply , so 20a single phase just seems a bit low to me ?

Is this a single phase welder ?

Thanks for the replies , that is how I read the face plate but it is the first oil set that I have come across that is only 240v . The other thing that threw me a bit is the isolator on the side seems to be rated at 20 A which is a bit low for a single phase set I would have said ?

Is this a single phase welder ?

Hopefully the picture's have uploaded otherwise this thread will be a bit pointless ! I got called to this old oil set last week as it keeps blowing its 32 fuses , it was a replacement for an old oxford 2 phase one that had given up the ghost . Being a farmer install it had been wired like...
