I do agree with you on the last bit David , but I find it quite astounding that they do not require the 2391 or what ever the equivalent is now days as at least a bench mark to becoming a QS .
I know the scams have ripped the arse out of the domestic market , but did not know they had started...
I was told by a rentokil bloke that if you have a hole that they keep coming through , fill it with wire wool and it will stop them dead .
He reckoned that they can not stand chewing the stuff .
Also if you do poison them , go for the solid type bait . If you have mice and use the loose grain...
Not sure if it is true , but a past accountant told me that if it was out of the hours worked by the tax man , it was considered to be claimable !? Having said that he is a past accountant for a reason .
Aha , we use the 14G + ones ! Which are 6.3 mm as opposed to the the other ones at 4.2 mm . They must come in bigger sizes , I just have not seen them .
I will take your word for it then , but the ones we have are no way near the same .
That is the trouble with just having a picture to look at , it can be deceptive .

To be honest I can not see the screw option , biting well enough to give a reliable fixing on single skin .
The proper tek screws which Tel has linked to , would be my only choice between the two .
Edit; The stitching one's would be best for what you are trying to achieve .
