Can anyone tell me: If the apprentice fails his exams, who's time does the resits come out of? The company or the apprentice (i.e unpaid leave)
we use izettle, it's perfect for payment on the spot, it even catch the odd customer out who think they will get an invoice in the post.
probably one of the best things I've done, perfect when working for someone you don't know also, random call outs etc.

crumbs! i wouldn't have it any other way, all our vans are less than 2 year old, dont put a foot wrong, 20k service intervals, cheap tax, good on fuel, comfortable, safe, no mot, and if it does go wrong its into the dealers under warranty. - it doesn't make sense to run an old van.

I've done this a few times but can never remember how to wire it, I've done via the tank stats and a relay. once the top stat opens it engages the relay until the bottom stat closes and cuts the electric feeding the relay. which then operates the two port valve.
of the company has a claim against it the companies can't strike it off. so get your claim in.
but also consider if the stress and time spent would be better put into doing something more productive.

Google "izettle" and get yourself set up with one, its one of the best things ive done, keep a carbon copy invoice book in the van and get your prices from the wholesaler when collecting goods, then take 5 mins write up the invoice and get paid on the spot. No excuses then - believe me its...
I don't mind late payment as long as it's agreed beforehand. It's the customers who think it's a try before you buy type service! that annoy me.
best way of avoiding late payment is to be transparent as you can. have as much agreed in writing before the job starts.
