Can anyone give me the answer and source for this question on current carrying capacity

What do each of those terms refer to? That might help you work out the order and why it is so.

Which alarm system brand do you most use for installs?

Vivotek are worth considering if you have any clients that need to avoid Uncle Sam's naughty list (which rules out HIKVISON and any OEM's built by them, etc). Not cheapest option mind. https://www.vivotek.com/ndaa

    Rcd fault

I would add though that a typical good TT rod of 100 ohms only needs 3V to have 30mA flowing and so trip an RCD, you might find that sort of N-E voltage on a large system irrespective of the local volt-drop over neutral so in practice it will fire quite happily.

    Rcd fault

That will not impact on the self-test button as they divert the test current L-N around the sense coil (e.g. L load to N supply). What a high Ra does impact on is the ability of the RCD to trip on a N-E fault, as if Ra is much higher than Rn (which is practically always the case) such a small...

Help please, new device to me

Just spotted the TM 80D code, are they one of brands Schneider have borged? It looks a bit like an old Merlin-Gerin NS100N come to think of it. If so you might get data more easily and/or ask Schneider's technical help folks.

Help please, new device to me

If you know the supply PSCC at that DB you can work out if it ever could have hit a damaging level of fault current. I suspect if it has there would be some signs of metal vapour having been expelled from the device's arc-chute inside the panel. There might be some HRC fuses as well at the...

    Rcd fault

I think it is safe to say if the test button does not work then there is a fault, but it might not be the RCD itself!

    Wylex RCBO

If the CU has one of the "odd" busbars with fingers, etc, instead of a simple tongue then it is very unlikely others will fit. For a repair if the correct model is available there is no real reason to look for others. If fitting a new CU then probably you already have a preferred choice of...

Voltage testers - a basic question

As a few others have already said, what you measure is voltage difference. The good example from above is a battery, it will do nothing unless you have contact to both terminals. But as with many things, you can define a point to be something, and measure relative to that to have some absolute...

    Wylex RCBO

The Wylex CUs I have used only have half a DIN rail so this clip is not needed, it is held in place by the busbar clamp screw. You would only need to use this clip with a full DIN rail if using it in some small DIN box, etc.

Nope, it is not! This shows the bottom, with the grey plastic sprung retainer on the supply busbar side. This shows it in the "retained" position: And this shows it in the "opened" position: You pop the grey bit away from the body and it springs back.

    Wylex RCBO

I have only once bought the "full size" RCBOs, the PSBS50-B/1, when I needed a 50A RCBO for a shower as the compact range maxes out at 40A (I think). But then I hardly ever do such jobs!

    Wylex RCBO

Yes, it has a plastic clip bit at the top (cable end) which you can pop out with a medium flat screwdriver to get it off the DIN rail.

The compact one NHXS1B06 has better terminals, and no functional earth to bother with. It might be compatible with that CU but check which busbar it has.
