    Stair lighting solution ?

    iv put led deck lights into the risers on a stair case before, but never any lighting on the string, I could imagine that to be quite tricky to keep the cables hidden, you might have to be handy with a router. when I done the led deck lights for my client all the wiring was done under the stairs...

    1st fix protection from plaster

    If he cant plaster round a back box you need a better spread. Usually a bit of plaster round a back box is fine just use a stanley knife to cut the excess plaster back. But covering every box is not something iv ever done.

    Fluke vs Megger which one?

    Never used a fluke to be honest, always used a megger and own a 1731, you wont go wrong with any bit of kit from them.

    ventilation brick big no no?

    I always thought air bricks were installed to prevent air being damp and stagnent and rotting the timber joists. Could be wrong. Why u would run a cable through them i dont know. I dont really see how it would be a big no no though. Just not the smartest thing to do

    Thanks for input lads, chasing an adaptable box into the wall and relocating a switch in the metre cupbord sounds like the best way to go at the moment. I was thinking henly blocks in the adaptable box to make the joint or crimps, but never crimped 25mm csa before so will most probably go in...
