I used one of those ‘safe digs’ web search, when I was considering an earth rod for my property, for a tub supply. It was a new build at the time, but didn’t show either my gas or electric supply. Now it might of been because it was so new at the time, but doesn’t inspire confidence.
I tried and failed.
Did work for a bathroom/kitchen fitting company, which helped. But towards the end, I wasn't turning over enough, to pay myself a monthly salary, after all the bills have been paid. There's loads of sole trader sparks, and domestic customers seem to expect you to do work...
LED lights from the UK lighting manufacturer | Collingwood Lighting - https://www.collingwoodlighting.com/en/ have some good products, if expensive. They also offer advice on lighting, I believe.
I did wonder when I was in a Scheme, what changed from one year to the next. However, thats what this thing is all about, supposedly verifying someones competency. They get their money, and they should be doing the job they were tasked to do, and protecting the domestic consumer.

On our ones at work, the diffuser pops out from the base, with the help of a flat blade screwdriver. There's a very small indent in the diffuser, where you can push in the screwdriver. Takes a lot of bashing, with the palm of your hard to get them back in.
Edit; not saying yours are exactly...
And perhaps just poor quality lamps? LED lamps don't take much power to cause them to illuminate or flicker, even though its light switch is in off position. A circuit 'snubber' can sometimes help if flickering occurs, with switch turned on.
There's a guy on our new build estate, that managed to secure a plot for his own purposes. He's had a 3 phase supply connected. Has solar panels on the roof, and apparently intends to have 2 x ev points. I'd love to have a snoop around inside! Only ever seen his van parked outside.
