I tried employing a 3rd party spark, when I did some electrical work in my own property. This was back in 2021. I had one guy said he would, out of three in my area. However, when it came to start the work, he never responded to my emails etc.
Guess it was too much hassle for little return.
Looking at the instructions, the unit displays a code (something like this u u) for 'POT INCORRECTLY POSITIONED OR MISSING'. It then turns itself off after 30 secs. So unless that displays, can't be the pan(s).
