I would agree with most that has been said, I think people have been very honest in their answers and there is no quick fix for the years of experience and knowledge that is picked up over this time.
There is obviously no getting away from the lack of experience bit, However a lot also depends...
Hope all of you are getting better and making a good recovery !
It's a strange old thing this covid how it seems to knock some people completely off their feet and others get mild or no symptoms. Fitness and age doesn't always appear to have any bearing on it.
I agree with Tel in respect that...
Like him or hate him, At the end of the day he is the PM of the UK and yes I do think that he should be seen out and about obviously ensuring safe distancing, wearing a mask etc., For me I believe it does help to instill some positivity to the people and afterall with all the gaffs he makes it...
On the point on nurses - They have to be seen in keeping uptodate with new delevelopments etc., in order to maintain their right to practice as a Qualfied Nurse. And quite rightly so !
Some of the companies I know use to do Toolbox talks, similar to what we do on here i suppose, Whereby we...
I think without actually seeing the evidence of your concerns it is very dificult to make any kind of judgement, I and a few others have mentioned photos, what was agreed in the quote etc., which you haven't really addressed in your replies. It is not uncommon to drill holes of that size...
CPD's are the in thing for most large organisations anyhow ! As already said it used for all types of working environments and employees have to prove that they have attended updates in their knowledge and skills requirements for the work they carry out.
Nothing new in my book, just another...

I know you said belfast but wondered if that may just be a general comment
I would agree with comments made above, it also sounds to me like niceic are passing the book a bit, I understand that the current situation does present some issues, however with appropriate guidelines on ppe etc., I see no valued reason why someone couldn't look over the install observing all...
Don't know why they had to uncover the Busbar , BUT should have powered off anyhow as good practice.
Always good to get into that routine of safety first
I'm certainly not Anti anything ! I have every respect for anyone making a decision about what/why they do or don't do something.
I don't attempt to force or encourage my views on anyone, We live in a free democratic society (at least I believe we do) whereby people can make good/bad judgements...
I have always turned down the offer of Flu jab over the years and firmly believe that we are too quick to get a jab for everything under the sun instead of letting our body immune system fight against bugs !!
I appreciate that the COVID 19 is a different cattle of fish and a lot of people have...
Regardless of rcd, That is as rough as a dogs arse ! Get them back to sort it, If not report them, although I doubt that will make much difference to anyone who works to that standard
Just take a hammer and small chisel and nibble out a bit deeper ! As said above looks more professional and not a great issue if you go steady and careful
I think James has offer you the best solution as a temporary fix anyhow ! Obviously we all stress the need for safety so isolation of circuit beforehand and a blank cover on so no little fingers can get in there
