you are right no AFDDs available in paper catalogue either, although it does say 'TPN boards will accept FuseBox 6kA devices without any modification or additional hardware'...make of that what you will...
Height of Fusebox 11 way is 812mm according to paper catalogue . Know what you mean about alignment with their domestic boards, I do fit them as pretty much standard though as excellent vfm and so far zero out of box failures...(I'm looking at you Crabtree..) I've taken to trial fitting cover...
Yes of course, I did read the post so I know the electrician will do the work and I'm not belittling anything, just pointing out the easy solution to the 'limbo' situation. We've all connected a proven isolated CU to live terminals before, there is not much risk.
This is the CU I'm dealing with, a 4+4 so by my reasoning, gaining a module on the LH RCCB gives a 5+4 so the busbar kit would be a 9265/DR. With the RCCBs being 363/A030, 63A fine for my application as there is a 50A device feeding the board...
Funnily enough I have this same issue coming up on a job, I wondered if you couldn't swap out the plug in busbar part for the equivalent one for both RCDs being 2 module ie the current one in the catalogue which has (I think) the same number of modules overall so should fit??
ps. my CU is the...
I'm writing this on exactly that (my personal machine not used for work but my previous work laptop was also a used Thinkpad) and have been flirting with Linux on another old laptop.
As you probably know, they are nearly all time expired commercial contract machines as are the Toughbooks and...
I've bought one of these a couple of months back for the same purpose, has so far survived being thrown around in the van and has saved me so much time filling out paperwork on site. its refurbished but they were several thousands new so great value. Battery life has been more than enough and...
Yep my go to for solid cored cables, much better than crimps (has anyone ever seen a current rating for a blue butt crimp? or any other red, yellow, blue for that matter..) , quicker as well
I have noticed these sorts of problems before when the wall the accessory is on is not flat such that when the faceplate screws are tightened the faceplate is distorted or bent slightly. In minor cases just loosening the screws slightly can cure it though if that means the accessory can move...
Why do you think this makes them potentially unsuitable? They have been clearly designed to be a 'continuity' MK Sentry equivalent at least in looks and branding etc and there is nothing to suggest they are not compatible in MI. Dimensions wise as above. I have replaced a couple of DP RCDs as...
I've got the 'socket & see' one ,originally acquired for a hospital testing job. As Sparkychick says they are not an exact science but the longer you scan for they reckon to filter out the weaker signals and eventually you are left with the right one. In my experience with a few other clues and...
Agreed, not an exact science but if you persist you can usually track the right one down. If you don't know which circuit a socket is on you may also not know if there are existing loads as well so in that case putting a known load on may not be an exact science either!
