    Voltage Flucuating /Stablizer

Would a voltage stabilizer be able to keep the voltage at 230V at all the time? Don't know why a UPS would work better than a voltage stabiliser?

    Voltage Flucuating /Stablizer

I have built an air flow bench using vacuum cleaner motors and there is a voltage fluctuation from the wall of around +-4 volts. This is causing the readings on the manometer to be erratic and is defeating the object of the project. Is it possible to stabilize the voltage to accurace of 99.5%...

Deep fat fryer causing electric to trip

I have a Tefal 1000 deep fat fryer. It is the first time I have used it. Was given as new a few years ago. I used the same outlet as I use for the kettle 2200w and a microwave 700w. The Tefal was on for around 30 seconds and it tripped the RCD in the house electric. Kettle works fine and also...

    12V DC adaptor showing 19V

Yeah you right. DC 12v-24v . Checked in manual. Thanks for your help.

    12V DC adaptor showing 19V

That's right mate. With the servo controller I have a feeling it's only drawing 20-50ma. If so then the voltage it'ssucking could be 17V-18V when the controller is switched on.

    12V DC adaptor showing 19V

To save all this messing ,should have just though about itabit more and get a regulated one. steady 12v. Nothing to worry about.

    12V DC adaptor showing 19V

It's a philip dc adaptor 12V200ma. It measured 19V under no load. I then connected it to a servo controller which required a 12V DC power source to open up a resistor which allows the servo to be enabled. So I powered the servo controller up and I measured the voltage of the philips DC adaptor...

    12V DC adaptor showing 19V

I was checking polarity using multimeter on some 12v DC adaptors I have. Doing this showed me the voltage. Here on my readings: 12V DC 200ma = 19V 12V DC 500ma = 16V 12V DC 1000ma = 14V Question 1): Why are they not showing 12V? Is this because all happen to be unregulated? Question 2): Why...

    Magnetic Contactor Over/Under Voltage

What voltage should be used in the UK for a magnetic contactor? 240V, 230V or 220V I know over voltage and under voltage can lead to the coils being burnt out over time. From the wall I am drawing in around 235V but when being used it drops around 225V-230V. Is it still wise to buy the 240V...

    EMI/RFI Noise filter

Noise filter will be in between wall 240V and device. If the device is rated at 10AMPS then what AMP noise filter is required? Is it 20% above device rating? regards.

single phase into 3phase trip switches/contactors etc

I'm not breaking no law rob. it is for my self. I had wired it up and it all works. Just thought it might be good to put circuit breaker in thats all. I'll go back to manufacturer for help. thanks anyway.

single phase into 3phase trip switches/contactors etc

The earth wire from wall actually goes into the driver. But all the Circuit breakers are designed for three phase. The two pole breakers I have seen. Do I put Live and Neatural through them? I will enclose everything eventually in a panel.

single phase into 3phase trip switches/contactors etc

Yes. the diagram I showed was a units that can accept 220v three phase or single phase. I am using single phase. L, n & earth its like a 9.5 amp driver so sucks the power in from wall and then a lead from there to the motor. it drives the motor. I want to buy circuit breaker, noise filter and...

single phase into 3phase trip switches/contactors etc

I think I should explain it better. Please see picture. I am trying to have circuit breaker, noise filter and magnectic contactor. 1)Is this all required for single phase 2)Can someone reccomand me some products. I am ready to buy. Encoder servodrive is 9.5amp and have read somewhere you need...

single phase into 3phase trip switches/contactors etc

Can I wire single phase into 220-240V 3phase trip switches/contactors etc. What I am trying to do is protect a 220v-230v encoder but want the earth wires to look neat. professional looking. Please see picture below
