Got my results back and some how got a distinction! Just started PLCs now and really enjoying it. My first TMA to do for this one soon :) To be fair EEP is okay until the last one! Gets a bit tricky
Anyone done EEP or might be able to help? im on TMA 3 and im struggling with a few of the questions, would be interested to share/see what answers people got etc :)
Sorry mate for the delay!
Yeah I think I will end up doing the HND just struggling to find the motivation wth EEP as the second assessment/lessons are just a bit uninteresting. I think the ones you’ve done look like ones I’d do but I’d also like to do design modules aswell. The factory I work...
Definitely hit me up, I’m nearly finished EEP these last 2 topics/ assessment are heavy. I found the first 2 okay, so if you need help just ask.
I’m looking at doing PLC module but was told it takes a while to get the kits, did you have any issue with that?
What modules did you do?? PLC is...
Well it always seems worthwhile to do a design one. However yeah PLC definitely, I’m currently working in industrial and it is my first exposure to PLCs but everything pretty much uses them, seems to save a lot more space and money have a PLC than the hardware equivalent of relays etc. Maybe the...
Nice mate! This one is a bit of a chore but it’s not too bad. I’ve got TMA 1 and 2 so far and not really done anything for complex wave forms/transients. Any issues with first two just give me a shout!
What you thinking of taking after these core ones?
How's it going lads? I just finished ENS with a Distinction, i found TMA 1 disgusting, the rest is pretty easy though. On EEP now... jesus my head hurts! nearly about to start TMA 1 for EEP, is it as bad as it looks?
@Kyle88 Congrats buddy!
Yeah it does seem like when they have vacancies for practicals they seem to let people pass!
Bloody rediculous! If you’ve passed, you’ve passed why wait longer? Jesus h Christ they annoy me..
Yeah see mine runs out in June this year. I didn’t even attempt to go...
No im from Norfolk.
Oh it's Higher National Certificate, a different qualification, in between an NVQ and a degree.
No i know how you feel mate, i got my own house as well and when it wasn't going great i needed something more concrete for money. But i do still wanna be a sparky and have been...
Hey Kyle,
I'm still about, mainly because i ask for help along with a HNC with Teesside uni thread i go to here.
It's unfortunate mate and as with you im the same. I think it's just the way they are, out for more money... I've just given up with the course in general and put a complaint into...
@AyresomeBoro done any of Engineering Science yet? i've done questions 1/2 (i think) of TMA 1 question 3 has me baffled. I've found part a) but unsure about b) and c)
Hi all,
Just started TMA 01 for Engineering Science and my gosh does it make AME look simple. Anyone who has done it who can offer some advice or is doing it now and wishes to discuss how they've gone about it please feel free!
Not yet, currently gone through lessons 1, 2 and half of 3. Some of it's very easy to understand, other bits are bit like, i don't know what I've just learnt. Looks a bit of a grim start though, others have said ENS is a bit of a struggle till nearer the end, being electrically biased looking at...
I was with them well currently it's over 2 years but as I said the cracks in there course started to occur around a half a year to a year in. Yeah I've done no practical element not had any sign of this so called written assignment even 12 months after failing 3 times
My complaint is in takes 12 weeks and I should be notified in about 2 weeks. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. It is a course where people get legit qualfications but obviously the company themselves are not very good or reputable. I got strung in like most others by the salesman and...
