    On hols in southern Italy and aircon has just gone down when 28 degrees indoors and all apertures shut to keep out mosquitos. Multiple indoor units with one outdoor unit which is Ferroli showing error code 41. Repair man cannot be got on Sunday night. By any chance does anyone know what error 41 is?

    Nothing much will protect against a direct strike, but some surge protection would give you a fighting chance against local strikes. Also keep the area enclosed by cables as small as posssible. If Sibert is on he might be able to offer some advice as he stocks the kit.
