The dnos are working along the lines of electric vehicle batteries being a store of energy which could potentially be drawn on during periods of heavy demand. Would need a smart meter for that
Definitely.
The term to look for when researching is a backdraught shutter. I live in a coastal location and try to persuade customers to go for fans with electronic backdraught shutters, the Airflow icon 15 is quite affordable and funky the way the shutters open and should be a straightfoward...
I looked into this a while back and am going with the Drayton Wiser setup. I am quite biased against big yank corporations and British Gas though which has limited my choice!
Ansell Orbio come with 15 and 30 degree lenses so you can direct the light where you want without having to use gimbal fittings. They also work brilliantly with their own (cheapish) Ansell dimmer
The op is stating that his test is not identifying the problem. 240v is an rms value and the meter is only performing a low current test. OP is fault finding, a 100v test will be more onerous on the installation.
Can't really argue against that but if someone is offering a brand new boxed item with a plausible reason for sale and is prepared to give the serial number so that it can be traced back to Fluke then that would go a very long way to reassuring me
I would imagine that there could well be a few Fluke voltage testers being sold on places like ebay. I had a T110 which developed the fault out of warranty which I replaced with another T110. When the recall happened I sent off my new one plus the faulty one which I still had so I am expecting...
Locally our DNO depot has refused to connect to customer supplied Ryefields on so many occasions that they decided to supply and fit the boards themselves so the job would be done right. I believe this is something decided on a very local level and I was also told that there is no mark up on the...
Many years ago was talking to some other self employeds re just being left in people's houses and the little piles of cash thing, one bloke used to keep change in his van so he could add to each pile just incase the customer was leaving 'traps'!
Took me over 6 months and 4 visits with British Gas to get a 3 phase meter removed and 3 x single phase installed. Very simple job.
Being polite, they are a pain to deal with / totally incompetent. Most of their meter fitters are not '3 phase qualified' which doesn't help.
I would threaten...
I think the first figures UKPN are indicating is what they allow on their network diversity calculations. We had a 300A (maybe less) fuse go in the substation the other month and we lost a phase, it was quite suprising how many properties were covered by this fuse. 1.5-3kVA per gas property...
I would definitely avoid anything going around the tree. Cutting into the bark strangles the tree, water is transported behind the bark and removing a ring of bark will kill anything above.
How about four wooden dowels?
