    I It makes me raging angry, been out the game 25+ years and at 44 have tried to get back into it, no one willing to give an old git a chance as yet! Just infuriated me that there’s people out there doing it badly, even with my long absence it’s seems I’ve forgotten more than they know!!

    No paperwork as it’s a housing association house, so not employed by myself either. Just came home from work and found this gargantuan cable connected to oven!!

    I know, school boy error, but would’ve come across same outcome once put back and turned on supply. Surely that’s not right? Cooker terminals not designed to take large cables

    It’s d It’s definitley 16mm, they’ve even run a 10mm swa externally all round the house as they said it was necessary?? Bonkers!! Don’t want to have to go through this every time I pull out the oven!!

    have had a range oven installed by electricians from kitchen fitting company and has been wired in 10mm SWA externally and then 16mm to cooler. Is this a massive case of over doing it?? Cable is obviously too big for cooker terminals and been crimped at the outlet!! Anyway, pulled oven out today...
