replacement cu not acceptable for NIC / Napit certification

I think Napit might be a little more lenient with their requirements after a 2nd conversation on the phone though its down to the assessor on the day not the person on the phone. Hoping that a supply from the main cu to a shed / garage with a cu & couple of circuits will suffice.

replacement cu not acceptable for NIC / Napit certification

slightly harder to pass? how many cu's have 2 extra ways that someone wants 2 extra circuits added I'd find a 4 leaf clover before that happens. If your doing a loft conversion or the like maybe but generally if its only couple of sockets and lights its extended off the original. If its a...

replacement cu not acceptable for NIC / Napit certification

yeah i said that to the assessor that I'd be forced to add a couple of circuits unnecessarily to my mums house and rip em out again each year. They said not acceptable, can't even do work at my house cos they said its not acceptable either.... not a happy bunny

replacement cu not acceptable for NIC / Napit certification

I've had my assessment, and my work consists of replacing cu's, EICR's & maintenance work. Not often do i do any work that requires adding two additional circuits, so now I can't get certified after 15 years of being a sparky.... gutted! I've always got certified with a new cu but now they've...

Storage heater not heating up but powered

no only stayed there about an hour, I usually get some warmth coming through by then but i'm going to back & double check the results & report back. Unless i've missed something its a little strange, checked between L-E & L-N across the furthest element but as I said will double check.
