I've got 2 double switches to wire for 2 hallway lights. Each switch has cable connecting to one light then cable between the 2 backboxes, which says strap on it. How do I wire the double switches so they can turn each light on and off?
Hope this makes sense. Currently I've got 1, 1.5mm cable and 1, 1mm cable coming from the centre light of the room, I've got 4 holes for the downlights no cable yet run, it's a bungalow though. The 1mm cable is then run to a single switch back box
I've got the wiring for a single light in my living room and switch. How can I wire it for 4 downlights powered from the main light then a separate switch for the spots to the single light?
Thanks very much @westward10.
I just couldn't get my head round this, would the appliance be double insulated. I'll just fit the plug and put a 3A fuse in. How come the 3A fuse? Sorry for my ignorance.
I've got a cooker hood extractor, it only has a live and neutral cable, I've only got a single socket to install it. Can I put a 13A plug on the end of it?
