    Thanks for the help this fixed it. I saw this Honeywell room stat in a drawer when moving in and thought it must be an obsolete programmer since it has mounting holes and places for cables to go on the back of it. Took it out and stuck some new batteries in it and everything seems to work...

    If I set it to heating only, the valve sticks in the "W" position. So It doesn't send any water to my radiators. I have a feeling that there's something about the connection with the programmer that's not right.
