    Overload protection omission

There is a CPC in the sparker cable yeah, with regards to l/n short circuit is that going to be an issue over 2m of cable ? I am no an engineer so not sure, but is the situation any different from a 2.5mm spurred of a ring on a 32a MCB ? This could easily be more than 2m long ?

Installing washing machine and t/drier in room with wc and basin - is it allowed.

Re: Installing washing machine and t/drier in room with wc and basin - is it allowed My take on this is that if it's just a toilet and sink then this isn't a special location ( no shower or bath ) so I don't see a problem with installing the appliances in the room the further from the sink the...

    4 core fp200 ring circuit

Ok, everything is clipped direct onto a block wall and is only about 5 metres of the 4 core used so there is still probably adequate protection for what you mention but I definitely agree with the Earth wire issue.

    4 core fp200 ring circuit

Got you, nah they are a ring as the conductors are connected in two separate pairs in the joint and not all together.

    4 core fp200 ring circuit

Thanks, When you say offers none of the protection characteristics what exactly do you mean by that ? Do you mean if it is designed for MI then FP doesn't meet the design criteria that MI would give ?

    Insulation resistance query

The loads are still connected as its a eicr in commercial property so not feasible to remove all lamps etc. That's why I find it strange that neutral earth isn't 0.02 MEGOHMS aswell ?? And also why I ask is L+N tested to earth different from testing L+E and then N+E seperatley ?

    Insulation resistance query

Hi, quick question for you all, do u think it is posssible to have an ins res reading of 0.02 on live earth of a lighting circuit which includes em. lighting but neutral earth is above 10 megohms ? There is low voltage track lighting also installed on the circuit. Also can anyone explain the...
