Hi all,
Just wondered if there was any devices that plugged in line with the plug socket and plug which you can use to measure current being drawn on different devices being connected to a power supply? Just wondered if there was a better way then just using a multimeter.
Cheers,
Connor
So do you do alot of upgrades for trains? Maybe just ask your manager/project guys why the modification is being done and just go through and take pictures of the install etc and explain why it needed to be done. Just make it out like you've made the suggestion!
Hi Lester, welcome to the group! Well it has to have enough substance from what I can gather to make a 3000 word report. So it needs to be meaty or you need to be able to go into alot of detail about it. I had a look at your channel and the thermostat system probably would be okay! I'm...
Well that is up to you, I've been told you can do a "research" project but they are alot harder to prove it went successful and do a decent conclusion. I was advised that if you can do a project at work that is best but arduino projects are fine too. What do you work as?
I've only just bought it myself. The guidance for project writing is fine but struggling to know what a good project is. My work is closing so projects are limited to do. So I'm inclined to do an arduino one. Just don't know what to do!
Hi all,
I'm currently on my last and final module, the project, for this course!
Just wondering though if anyone has done it and can let me know what sort of projects people did. Just struggling to gauge how big or small a project can be. Got plenty of arduino projects at home I can do but...
Hi guys,
So microprocessors is done! Phew! 2 modules left now so want a rather easy module before I do my project, anyone got some suggestions? Done 3 core and PLCs, electrical machines and microprocessors.
Cheers,
Connor
Takes on average 1 to 3 weeks to get assessments marked to be fair. The forums are dead, ones like this and there's a good Facebook one which are much more active. You can literally start the next module as soon as they confirm the bridging module is complete. Just call the engineering team for...
Hi Lester,
Welcome to the group and best of luck with the studies ahead!
I helped my work colleague through his maths bridge (I fortunately didn't have to do it for mine!) it is aimed I'd say just higher than gcse maths. You do a bit of stuff with algebra, trigonometry, calculus (hardest...
Think once it comes back as passed they’ll inform you so you can purchase your first module or you can call up the tuole admin team and ask to be enrolled onto it (easier in my opinion as they are very helpful normally)
All good man :) This one is a pig to be honest, the content is in the lesson notes to get you through it, but you really do need to siege through the crap for the equations/methods to answer them. Synethesis of the complex waveform took me a few weeks or researching software which could do it...
Well done guys! If you need any help with EEP 3 just give us a shout! I’m nearly over half way done! Currently doing PLCs but just finishing off TMA 3 then gotta wait for this software to be sent out any lads done PLCs and know how long it takes?
Yeah for sure, I’ve been on a real go slow because way I’m doing it I won’t be able to finish the course until 3 years anyway and I don’t intend on going further at the moment. However I did do the first 2 modules in like 5/6 months and taken around 8 to do these past 2 so definitely possible
Hi Josh,
I don't think it matters either way with the distance learning method, basically you get a 5 year registration to complete the HNC/HND (whichever you choose) I went with the HNC first as a precaution because like you I didn't want to be locked into the HND if after the HNC i didn't...
