Hi all
I want to get a good and reliable earth leakage clamp meter, been looking at the megger DCM305E which looks good but was wondering what other peoples opinions are? I don’t mind spending the money on a good one rather than getting a cheap one and getting inaccurate readings or no longevity.
I recently borrowed one of these to diagnose an earth leakage problem, and it was very useful: 560 60A Digital Earth Leakage Clamp Meter - https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/4131796-60a-earth-leakage-clamp-meter
Before I go out and buy one for us, I wondered if anybody can recommend...
Hi
It’s a bad setup but I went for a call out in the night in a residential unit.
There’s a rcd in its own enclosure feeding a 14 way board that had tripped.
I reset it didn’t trip.
I passed 2 mornings later and still hadn’t tripped.
Whilst there on first visit I stuck my earth leakage clamp...
I am looking at buying an earth leakage clamp meter AMECaL ST-9810 (£59) or a Megger DCM305E (on offer at £194).
The only use will be mainly domestic fault finding.
Any opinions will be most welcome.
Could anybody reccommend a good earth leakage clamp meter, specifically one that measures low mA's to find any small earth leakage current that may cause nuisance tripping?
Megger is my usual go to but don't want to fork out more than around the £100 mark if I'm able to get something pretty...
Anyone got one they recommend.
Looking to spend upto £120.
Would like micro Amp resolution if possible single digit milli Amp a must.
Ta muchly.
Edit: only looking at testing appliances and 240V circuits.
(did a search but no conclusive answers found)

Has anyone any knowledge on earth leakage clamp meters.
As far as I can make out they are identical to a normal clamp meter only with greater resolution measuring down to milliamps rather than amps. What I dont really get is why we dont have them with 2 clamps..one to measure the live and one to...
Morning all, want to add an earth leakage clamp meter to my kit these two are what I'm looking at from research so far has anyone got any thoughts? Thanks

Evening all,
I've just brought a Dilog DL6507 Earth leakage clamp meter. Got to get used to using it, but does anyone know what the on/off switch on the side does, as it does not do as you would think.
Cheers.
Hello all.
I've been searching around the forums but can't seem to find anything recent.
I'm after a clamp meter to measure current generally but would like one that is accurate enough to detect earth leakage at a reasonably accurate level.
The company I work for has loads of nuisance RCD...
I've just had this product delivered to me and after opening the box I found that something inside the meter rattles quiet a bit when moving around in your hand. ive checked it's not the batteries and was just wounding if anyone else had this meter to see if it's just how they are or if mine may...
Evening peeps,

I have searched the forum and have come up with the following previous recommendations but am unsure which one to go for as they were in the last two years or so...
