Is the easiest way as follows.
Feed from CU to switch
Feed from switch to lamp 1 then daisy chain from light 1 - 2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6?

Hi, i have a client who would like a sensor in the entrance to a car port that will switch on a couple of ordinary 4 foot fluorescent lights. Can someone please advise if I will need a special type of sensor to operate these lights as opposed to ordinary lamps? Thanks.

I was carrying out an upgrade of a 3 phase distribution board today.
Everything seemed to go ok apart from no neutrals corresponding with their live conductors.
But when I have re-energised the circuits there is a group of fluorescent lights not working.

Am I right in thinking that when fitting fluorescent lights instead of using a ceiling rose to make the connections as it would be exposed do you use a 4-way junction box instead?

hi all, I have asked this before but still not sure, when calculating v.d on fluorescent/discharge circuits do you include the 1.8 factor in the calc or is this just for cable current rating
e.g is it like motors where you are allowed a bigger vd on startup, but size the cable on the rating...
