Hi,
A lot about this fault confused me to be honest. So customer complained the doorbell was not working as intended. By that I mean the chime box was making a buzzing noise and the doorbell just ranging without being pressed. The chime produced a lot of heat also apparently. The doorbell is a...
Hi,
I have a Friedland 752 chime box in my living room which is the most ugly thing. We have not had a doorbell attached to it in the 5 years we have lived here and are decorating and now is the time for it to go.
There is a transformer in the cupboard along with the board.
Is it a case of...
Hi,
I bought a Ring wired bell thinking, easy, just replace the current doorbell. Now I'm hunting down how to bypass the chime but am unsure of how given this underdome bell system? Please see photos, Friedland 743 transforma is separate with chime on wall, I can't see anything else and do not...
Our old Friedland chime all too often now emits a only faint "ding"- because the person at the door (usually a delivery driver) just "dabs" at the button.
It works from three buttons:-
Outside of porch; inner front door (the outer front door when the house was built); back door.
The...
Hi folks, it turns out my Friedland chime must be really old (going by mercury switch and white wiring!) and I'm struggling to fit a Ring doorbell. I'm trying to fit the jumper cable none of the cables have indications as to which is front, trans, rear. I can't see anything that looks like this...
Hello,
We moved into an old house (Wimpy 1957) and the doorbell doesn't work.
I read the AC voltage on the old Friedland 752 transformer, and it's at 13V, not 3 or 5 or 8 as per the options. The solenoid on the bell might be getting too much power.
Why might it read 13V?
This person also...
I'm trying to connect a Ring wired doorbell and have a Friedland Type 4 chime. According to the (awful) instructions I need to use the bypass cable and attach 2 of these wires to bypass the chime. Would someone have a look at my photo and tell me which wires to join? Is it the ones going to 0...
Hi.
I have recently moved into a house and I'm trying to install a Ring Hardwired Doorbell at the property. I've had a look at the Ring instructions and at the chime box but I'm completely lost as to which wires to by pass in order to give constant power to the door bell. I have a separate plug...
I have recently installed a frieland response wireless alarm, iv got it up and working but not exactly how the customer would like, it's the first one iv done, basically iv set the house code on all the accessories as in pir sensors, door magnets n siren, but iv set different zone codes because...
I had to hold back from laughing out loud in front of my dad when he had bought one of these for his house...
The alarm has a plug on it for power from a standard 13A socket rather than being hard-wired in like proper alarms.
I just have a vision of a burglar coming into the house, setting off...
