Quick Ring Spotlight pro hardwire question

Looking at getting their hardwire kit, I'm assuming ok to use 3core cable to a 3pin plug instead of going directly to consumer unit or wiring to back of plug socketas seen in many youtube videos? The latter 2 I'd obviously get an electrician in but I'm capable of wiring a 3pin plug. Thanks

Putting UK plugs on hard wired appliances

I purchased a new-build apartment 10 years ago, which came with a fitted oven and microwave. Both appliances are described by the manufacturer (AEG) as hard wired. I recently purchased a new hard wired microwave, but the installer discovered that there was only a socket behind the microwave. He...

Its 12.5 KW 600 Volt and I'm...

    Dishwasher: outlet or hardwire?

Hi all, I am installing a new dishwasher. I am comfortable doing this wiring because my dad was an electrician and taught me general wiring. My question is, do you think it’s better to have an outlet under the sink or just hardwire it. It seams weird to me that code would allow an electrical...

Can you hardwire a plug-in LED set of lights (for under kitchen cabinets)?

Hi there, I am getting my kitchen replaced next week and I need to buy some undercabinet lighting. I prefer to have them hardwired instead of plugged-in so that we have a free socket and less cables running around. I have found a set of dimmable puck LED lights on amazon which I like but...
