Is it possible to cut a neat notch - say arch shaped, with the arch diameter about 25mm - in a stainless steel cooker hood chimney, without either making a mess of the chimney, or breaking/burning out tools, or both?
Special hole saw - or maybe regular holesaw used for steel - and...

Saw these holesaws mentioned on another thread so went and bought one. Not cheap but absolutely brilliant so sharp, only problem is the pilot in the power change adapter is too short, do they do a longer one?
Can only see one type listed online, any ideas?

I was dreading drilling a 32mm hole in the top of a Hager metal Consumer Unit for a 25mm Swa. There are square knock outs all along the top and my worse fear was the knock out coming out.
Anyway, there is limited room so I had no choice but to terminate the swa in the consumer...
