Picked up a little job to move and rewire some lights, sockets and data points in a hospital. The room was used before as a casualty operating room. And is being converted into a low level operating room.

Just pondering why hospitals and large commercial sites have many many earth pits sited 1 or 2 meters away from outer walls on corners and on pillars.? Is it to do with lightning protection or are the earthing arrangements tns or tt for these installs.?

Got an interesting job today after been called out to change a distribution board. All sounded ok till I got on site. As I arrived a fast response ambulance was present and a big one just leaving. Turns out the first electrician was in it after shorting across phases and getting a flash burn...
Just to let you know, Ian was electrocuted at work this morning and is in hospital. I have just popped home to pick up a few things and are then going back.
