Hi all when performing an r2 test prior to commencing an EFLI test would it be acceptable if the board was made from metal of course to test from the point to the outside of the board rather than to the earth bar? Just for when you are working with large 3phase boards full of cables.
Hey hows it going,
So was doing two different EICR the other week. Two different locations, same issue and I’m not sure what the best course of action is. Both constructed in 2016, 100% new. Hager metal dbs. TN-C-S (PME)
So for example on one:
Original test sheet Zdb - 0.21ohms, 1.18 kA

Note: The use of photographic evidence in ‘remarks’ column of the test schedule. relation to the observations noted would be advantageous.

I recently just done my AM2 resit and in my inspection and testing, despite the invigilator watching me do the tests, I think I may have forgotten to tick the RCD test button on the Electrical Installation Certificate despite actually doing it the test.
Would that mean an immediate fail for not...
I have a megger 1721 and occasionally when I’m doing testing a large amount of circuits the continuity locks on even with no leads attached any one had anything similar
Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice for the 2391-52 as I have it booked for next week? I've been going over past 2394/95 exam papers for the short answer questions, is there anything particularly I should be looking at?
Thanx
I sat the 2391-52 Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection and Testing online Exam last week and failed by 1 mark. I got 100% in 2393-10 and 90% in 2382-18 so not unfamiliar with electrical exams. I was wondering:
1. Does this exam follow a sequential format as similar to that of the 2382-18...

A charity I assist requires an inspection, test and certification of the fixed wiring in its recently refurbished premises on the old Alconbury Airfield site in Huntingdonshire.
There is a new 3 phase main switch and distribution board into which mostly existing circuits have been connected, and...

Sorry if this question has been asked...
When I bought my house we had it inspected before buying to highlight faults, so the inspection and testing done by RICS Chartered Surveyor and the report made. This clearly covered more than the electrics, but it did refer to the electrical installation so included a type of electrical...
