solar quote question - estimated return on investment timescale.

Does anyone know if a solar installation quote should include the loss of interest incurred on the investment. Should this amount be factored into the return on investment time scale. On a large installation this makes a huge difference to the payback time.

    Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership

Just wondering if any of you had heard or had any interest in it. Personally I'm against it as I believe it is ultimately going to have a negative effect on our society (especially the Investor State Dispute Settlements part), even if it is good for (big) business. The Tories support it as do...

Solar PV is still a good investment.

When the FIT rate was 43p Solar PV was a fantastic investment, with annual returns of 10-13% on your capital outlay, this is index linked to the RPI for 25 years, as it was offering such high returns, there were many investors that seized the opportunity, many large investments were made in a...

    Commercial Project

Hi everyone, I have a customer who wants rough pricing on a potentially very large commercial system. I am thinking the best way to provide a rough estimate is just to base the (rough) cost of the job on the return on investment expected. Although i haven't installed any large systems yet so...

Free Solar Unaffected by FiT Cuts?

I have heard a rumour from a friend of a friend that big free solar (50kWish) will go ahead after the cut as there is a 30% tax rebate for Entrepreneurial Investment. For the city investment folks the new tariff will be irrelevant. How a government guaranteed return is classified as...
