Hello, We have been asked to install A Modicon Controller to provide PC control over an existing installation that has contractors/key switches which operate tents court lighting. Having never used one of these devices before TM221CE16R - controller M221 16 IO relay Ethernet | Schneider Electric...
Hi all,
I'm soon leaving the UK, and (as an electrical enthusiast) I'm planning to bring back a few UK switches either as souvenirs or to replace worn switches.
Now I'm struggling to decide between MK Logic Plus and Hager Sollysta (only single plate white plastic on/off switches). Could...
Hello from Romania.
I have all the counting ccts, for every number. This is counting to 16 and its the last one this 7493 can count.
I encounter a new and very weird problem. All the [Q] (QA,QB,QC,QD) outputs of the 7493 are not so good at outputting. At least to my components I tested so far...
This is more a challenge to myself and why not for some of you as well. I will try to make it myself alone but... it will be easier and faster with some more experienced help from you guys. As the title says, with logic IC's. I could/should make it with an arduino or my favorite PIC12F508...
Did a check on a ring circuit, due to board having to remain live I did it at a socket.. Was an RCBO, had checked RCD side and all tested ok, when I did IR live and neutral to cpc I got 0Mohms, when I did resistance test got a very low reading 0. something.
Now I knew that there was something...
Hi all,
I have some outdoor lights, and I want to update the circuit to add a bit more functionality. I have drawn a little picture of what I have now:
When we walk past the Outdoor PIR sensor 1, all lights come on, and then go off. This works fine!
Now the behaviour I want:
Add another...
I'm fitting oil-filled panel heating into two rooms of a remote workshop, with (currently) a 20A x three phase supply.
Control, for occasional use only, is needed as follows:
1. A wall-mounted and easily-adjustable mechanical timer to set all the heating to come on an hour or two before people...
Hi
I’ve been asked to retro fit one of these units, it’s not something I’ve done much of and the only one I’ve done is a Eaton which came as a kit whereas this would be fitting it into an existing board.
Is it possible to retro fit or does it need to be fitted as a kit?
The eaton one was...
I need to get an outside floodlight fitted, just need to think the best way to keep things logical.
Just want to make life easier for whoever might work on the installation at a later date.
The isolation switch will be in the kitchen but the actual light will be going outside through the wall...
Can some one explain why a car displaying a blue badge is allowed to park on double yellow lines, but one not displaying one can't? Surely the idea of double yellow lines is to avoid congestion, but if a car with a disabled badge doesn't cause an obstruction why does a car without a badge do so?

Hi all
I'm thinking about doing a Level 3 Award in Periodic inspection, Testing, Condition Reporting and Certification of Electrical Installations.
It’s a QCF qualification and certified by Logic's instead of C&G.
Never heard of Logic's- has anyone done this course and is it reputable?
Hi
Does anyone know where I can download free PLC Programming Software. Not Looking to Download to PLC just looking for something I can practice on and write a program for a forthcoming project. Tried the micrologix demo but it expires after 2weeks and wasn't great anyway. Step 7 would be ideal...
Hi Everyone
I installed this panel in my garage about six years ago. Today I noticed it had triggered on the tamper alarm. I disconnected the two zone sensors(one door switch/one vibration sensor) and re-inserted all the shorts to the control board. This effectively reset the whole thing to...
Hi All. I have just installed a Logic Six alarm panel to an existing alarm set up. Also I fitted a new Honeywell AG6 External sounder & strobe box. The system works ok apart from when the system has been set the external sounder sounds for about 3/4 secs, very annoying for the neighbours...
