Looking for a metal pattress with screw fittings in the correct place for this old MK 2 gang socket.
The existing pattress of the socket that I am looking to replace has fittings on the side.
I know this is a bit of an odd one, so bear with me, I have an idea in mind, but many of the power strips I see are either a) crap b) stupidly expensive, c) lack mounting holes or d) all of the above.
So given I have a fair number of 3 gang sockets and back boxes (bought for a job cancelled at...
Hi
I am working on a project and ran a cable down the wall for light switch but the wall is old batten style.
The wall is going to be skim sometime later this week but I am curious how would the back box be sorted later on. I am not sure if dry lining box would be an option. Any help or ideas...
Probably a simple solution to this but dumbo here hasn't found one yet. Wonder what you guys do in situation where need to fit pattress box but no plasterboard one side to clip to and no option for metal back box as plasterboard on other side of wall. Is there any other types of boxes can use...
I’ve just had a new stud wall put up. I have chrome light switches throughout the house but with metal pattress boxes. Am I correct in thinking a plastic drywall pattress box will be ok with a metal switch as long as the CPC is wired into the faceplate....or do I put in another noggin and use...
Hi, Could anyone help with where to source a pattress box 150mm wide with the two fixing screws to attach the front panel set at 137mm apart... all the usual suppliers seem to be around 130 ish!
Thanks, Jim.

Grateful for some expert advice with reference to relevant wiring regs if possible. The company who installed my kitchen has taken a spur (non-fused) and wired it into a double metal pattress box for dishwasher connection. The box is lying loose on the floor immediately under the sink/DW area...

I'm looking to buy 10x Black Polycarbonate 2 Gang Pattresses, they are to use with some Clipsal E25BK sockets I have and pvc conduit. I can't find anybody that makes them, anybody here know?
Has anyone come across 1G or 2G blanking plates and surface-mount pattresses in white plastic which are easier to drill than the rather brittle plastic which seems to be the norm?

Hi Forum
I have rewired my house and then had a plasterer come in and skim the rooms. He hasn't plastered level and in some cases a few millimeters of the pattress sticks out of the plaster. As a consequence, there is a gap around the switches and they are not flush to the wall.
Do you know of...
