Average price for an EICR? Another poll! Please read post before voting.

I'm going a bit poll crazy at the moment. I love polls! This one is just a bit of fun. It's obviously very inaccurate and there will be many variations on price, but... Lets just ask 'What price would you charge for an EICR on an average 2-3 bed house'? No outbuildings, one consumer unit (10...

I like this post a day for 5 days!

I do hope this game continues! That way I will be able to post totally off-topic stuff, like a song I like or a recipe or some places you ought to visit...stuff like that! Damn! I've just posted this on a Saturday, so it doesn't count towards the 5...what a waste of talent! Hmm...maybe I'll...

    Post a thread a day DAY 1

Today has been successful in removing an old control panel and physically mounting a new one. Made challenging by being wired in pyro. All I have left now is to make it work. Couple of day left I think! Better than the old one.

Ad that's inside a post has been moved to below the post

@dan the ads have gone crazy again I'm afraid. I couldn't see the OP at all, and that is with a subscription to hopefully avoid ads. Any chance of a look?

    lamp post eicr code

just wondered how everyone else would code this lamp post. the original installer made a type of swa gland from copper pipe and a BS88 clamp. they also issued a 12 year inspection date. its all just a thought exercise now as i have added a proper lamp post cut out with swa 20s glands.

Need to post so thought I would introduce myself.

Was a member for years on here, I'm 60 now and recently changed jobs! Due to a buy out of the company I'd been with for 18 years. Lost my log in there didn't have it saved anywhere or access to my old emails! So here I am again! NICEIC QS for the company I'm with. Not properly been on the kit...

Obligatory post that needs more letters than I would have thought necessary

I am very interested in electrics and have a pretty good working knowledge of how to troubleshoot and install electrical equipment. This forum has been helpful and interesting to benefit from the experience of others. thank

Apparently I too need to post to a Forum

I've been a member for ages but received an email saying I needed to post on the Forum or my account would be terminated, so here we are. My main use of the forum is looking at discussions about topics that are relevant to me. I may be able to do that without an account but I want to be able to...

I am required to post a new thread

Like another post a few minutes ago, I have been asked to post a new thread to keep my membership of this forum and I'm sorry if this clutters up "The Welcome Forum" I haven't posted before as I do log on from time to time to search for answers to questions I may have and have always found (so...

I am being forced to post a thread to keep my account!

I signed up because it was required in order to read other people’s threads when doing Google searches for electrical issues. I am not interested in posting anything or promoting anything. I have been emailed to say I must post a thread to keep my account. So here it is. This is dumb when you...

Quick post to prevent account Deletion!

Just had a note from forum admins that I need to post something to prevent my account being deleted, well here it is. I joined the forum as an ‘old’, newly qualified sparky awaiting final on-site visit from napit assessor. I appreciate that a forum needs content to keep members but I’m also a...

Here I am, posting at last. I am the electrician who does the job, rather than blowing hot air.

Apparently I need to post a thread 🤣😂.

I am Andy and live in beautiful North Wales. Served an installation spark apprenticeship way back when I left school in 1979 , did all the extras at the time then became disillusioned with the JIB, unions etc and drifted in to other areas. Specialised in chemical and petroleum stuff the drifted...
