I have Drayton motorised valves for my central Heating and hot water in an S Plan configuration. However, I have had several failures of the microswitches in these valve where they've not switched off and so left the pump and boiler running. This leads to the boiler over heating and so tripping...
Hi does anyone have a S plan wiring diagram that incorporates a third zone to accommodate an underfloor heating system like polypipe? Would appreciate anything right now! Thanks
Hi,
I’ve been trying to get a better understanding of wiring up heating systems & multiple Nest thermostats for dual zones. So I’ve used Microsoft Visio & created a wiring diagram.
I think it looks ok & would work but I would like a second opinion?
If it is ok then I will file this away on...
Does anyone make a 230V AND gate: two mains inputs and which only outputs (2A max, say) when both line inputs are live? I have an S-plan system with two DHW cylinders and need mains output when the heat demand from both ceases (i.e. when both cylinder stats are in the ‘satisfied’ state).
This...
Hi all,
Please can I get some help. I’m currently wiring up 20 unvented cylinders at the moment. They are all part of an S-plan which is fine. The problem I’m having is with the two in-built stats on the immersion tank. One stat is a high limit cut out stat and the other is an Adjustable.

hi
Just wondering if a worcester wave thermostat will work on a modern worcester bosch system boiler with a pressurised cylinder (1 x 2 port for heating, 1 x 2port for hot water/cylinder)
I don't see how it will?,
any help, thank you
I am doing the electrics for an extension, part of which is to add a wet underfloor heating system.
The current heating is s-plan, the boiler has a pump overrun.
The plumber has put in a 2port valve and pump which feeds one zone on the UFH with a remote programmable theromstat.
The...
Evening gents (and ladies)
I was doing an S-plan boiler house setup this week and after I had done it, I started to think about the flow of electricity to the point of insanity.
Imagine in the S-plan setup, a 2 chanel controller, controlling a cylinder stat and a high limit stat.
The...
When testing Insulation Resistance or Continutiy on a 3phase Motor, do you need to disconnect the cables from the motor?
Or do you just test I.R to the starter, then I.R from starter to motor? (as the starter will be open when dead)
Would a motor come under "equipment vulnerable to testing"...
