    Bad solder joint on circuit board.

    Hello all, I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion this matter. Can this be repaired by simply resoldering? I'm concerned about the blackened area around the joint which looks to be burnt and also the wider discoloured area around the joint. Many thanks.

    Crimp or solder?

    What's the preferred method of joining T+E for an inaccessible joint? Ring final circuit... Crimp and heat-shrink, or solder and heat-shrink? Do I need to take any extra precautions if I'm connecting a new colour cable to an old colour cable (apart from the sticker on the CU)?
