came across a fused connection unit spurred from a ring main in 1.5mm was this ok in previous regulations as the load is less than 13A

I had the same at my house. Only it was 1mm and feeding 3 double sockets and under cupboard lighting in a kitchen..oh yeah and was unfused!! :D

I rewired the spur to the sockets and fused it to 13A then the fused again to 3A for the 1mm to feed the under cupboard lights. NICEIC came down to inspect and they were happy with the new set up. Lots of fuses...nice! :cool:
