Hello,

Can somebody please confirm I'm not going crazy.

I'm about to change over the CU at my flat as part of my Part P appraisal, and I've discovered one of the rings is wired in 1.5mm MICC.

Looking at the at the current carrying capacity:

1.5mm MICC / Ref method C (embedded) = 28 Amp

2.5 flat T+E / Ref method C = 27 Amp

This alone should prove it doesn't need replacing, right ? (barring any dodgy test results)

Or is there something about using MICC I'm not aware of....

Sorry for the stupid question.. it's getting late.

Thanks,

Al
