I know it has been spoke about many times,

I'm just wondering how many of you would turn your nose up to a 1.5mm radial feed to the loft running 4 x 13a double sockets, all fused down with a 13a FCU. I know it's basically a fancy extension reel.

Would you install it?
Slate it?
Give it a code on PIR?
Perfectly fine and just pre warn the customer it has it's load limits?

Am I right in saying it could go on a 16a mcb aslong as not covered by insulation?

I think its fine also, I would not instal it that way but its fine.

I have a huge pool heater in the garden, you want to see the nail in my fuse holder!!!!!

I should know better

"East anglian sparky struck off for nail in rcd spur to pool heater.....wife gets shock!!!"

Sounds fine, cable is protected by the fuse so no problem at all. If I was installing it I would use 2.5 radial off the ring, all protected by the same FCU but only out of habit. If I only had 1.5mm on the van then I'd put that in without hesitating, the book says it'll carry the load all day long so that's all that matters. If you wanted to run a new circuit then either a 10A or 16A breaker would be fine depending on reference method and routes.
