I notice the cables are run in slots rather than holes through the joists
The proposed burying of the cables, they are bunched together in a loom for plastering
There are possibly lots of procedures that may be questionable ( that may not be apparent in the video)but nonetheless they fulfill the aim,and that is to have the job done in a day,in all fairness in that respect they succeed
It’s good going, don’t know how it can pay for them mind. My initial baptism was in the form of council rewires, minimal spec, between three of us, one a day, five a week. Absolute hell.
The CU was very good. The plastering was not perfect, but as the guy said it was decent. When I started training we did lots of houses. Electrician and me did a three bed thirties house in 4/5 days (8 hrs per) Made good on all chases (our plastering was perfect!) cleaned up properly and a pretty perfect job if I do say so myself! Funny thing is when we had finished it looked like we hadn't done anything in the house. All you could see was a switch and sockets on the wall and a ceiling rose in the room. As for a day...well possible with enough people I'd say but not my cup of tea.
They need this guy on the 1 day re-wire squad
I don't know mate.... I really fear for that property too if it's a real thing.I was going to ‘report’ your post @Andy78, not to the mods, but Historic Scotland. Can see them making a right pigs ear out of that pad, in just a week, or is that a wind up.

If the 1 day rewire squad can do that listed building in under a week without destroying all the original features , ceilings and flooring I would be rather impressed...
My only hope it that the original install is all in conduit that can be re-used.
