A question, I fitted a 10 W LED on my new shed and wired it through a relay controlled by a remote, to allow her in doors to switch it on if she wanted to get something from the shed in the dark, problem is the LED flashes when it's switched on, I reckon the problem is too light a load, not had much to do with LEDs, and wondered if anyone has encountered this problem before, and if so how did they overcome it, I thought about wiring a 100 w lamp in parallel on the inside of the shed to put a bit more load on, grtaeful for any help.

did you have a look at the minimum load for the relay? we use a lot of small relays for controls so it might he too large

Yep it only gives max loading, nothing about what the min load is, hence my thoughts about fitting a tungsten lamp as extra loading.

Bit daft using a great big 100W lamp as a dummy load - kind of defeats the idea of the low energy 10W led ! Is it definitely a relay doing the switching, or some sort of semiconductor switch? Daz

which model relay did you use?

let you know a bit later mate, don't know why they gave me that relay just checked it out "incandescent lighting only" muppets but I should have checked, just goes to show doesn't it.

Or use that existing relay to trigger a normal relay with a proper set of single pole N/O contacts? Daz

It's probably the light, if you read the reviews in the screwfix website in the LED floodlights, they all say after not too long they flicker like hell and are a waste of money, this is why I'm still using halogen in mine.
We've never had a problem with any of our LED floods and we have fitted countless 10w up to 100w.

It's the same as anything, buy cheap, buy twice. Not sure I'd expect much from a ÂŁ15 Screwfix special TBH.

Anyway not sure where the OP mentioned Screwfix so this is getting off topic!
