10 year inverter warranties

I have seen recently some manufacturers offering 10 year warranties as standard.

We installed a samil river last month with a 10 year.

Does anyone know which other manufactures are offering the 10 year at present? Also where from as it seems only certain wholesalers offer the free extension.

20 years on Enphase micro inverters. Interestingly, 25 years in the US. Apparently the shorter period here to tie in with Feed in Tariff rather the Life of panels. Come on guys up the anti and scare the excrement out of everyone else.

Thanks Guys, Would you say the power one micro's are too new to try out yet? Usually the first few months the problems occur?

I suppose although micro inverters are more expensive the warranty almost covers the extra cost!

Thanks SRE is that from any wholesaler? Because Segen don't seem to be doing that?

This is the first install i have been asked to quote on a North-West roof! 4KW, do you think micro's may be beneficial in this situation? She wants to maximise output as much as possible!

Benefits of micro's over string inverters is only really achieved if there is a degree of panel mis-match, shading or variable orientations. You may see a slight increase in yield over string inverters on an un-shaded, single-orientation/pitch roof but it's unlikely to be more than circa 3%. So, if your NW facing roof is unshaded and on a single orientation/pitch then a string inverter solution is probably the prime option for you. On the subject of P1 Micro's, there is no reason to suspect that early installs will suffer from "teething problems" as these units are tried and tested already. The current 10yr warranty will be extended to 20yrs in due course, I'm sure.
