Does anyone else think that its bad practive to have lighting circuits on 10A CB's?
Doing an extension with a hell of a lot of these in and running two sepreate circuits to split the load on two 6A breakes instead of it all on one 10A breaker.

Just wondered what other poeples views on it are, I hope this is the right section. I'm kinda new here.

Assuming your talking about a domestic installation, using 1 mm T+E its is always best to use amp MCB and i think you have done the right thing segregating the circuits, as it provides better discrimination just make sure make a clean split and label the db appropriately

Yea, its on an extension. I'm using 1.5 T&E.

I had already run the cable but now she wants twice as many lights so up with the floor boards again lol.

There is nothing at all wrong with a 10A MCB on a 1.0 lighting circuit, as long as Zs is within limits.

But, as has been said, with all the insulation around then its either 1.0 6A or 1.5 10A, depending on circuit route.
