12v dc power supply for cctv system

Anyone ever saw one of these cause a fire? Just installed cctv in my home and bit worried leaving it on when where out as we have a litttle pup....i have never saw one cause a fire but i am a very paranoid person!

if it's quality gear and not overloaded, should not be a problem. i usually allow 1A per camera. them infra red LEDs take a bit of juice.

Its only 2cameras but they are IRs.....its only a cheap maplin plug and play sentient one

fitted a few of these. never had a problem. check the PSUs to see if they get warm.

it's the DVR that links to internet. you need to read the instructions.

Puppies tend to chew anything ours tried books, mousemats and cables on playstation and xmas lights, luckily they were off at the time. Best to prevent access to cables for the first few months.

as above. invest in a dog crate /cage with a nice bed and toys in it for when you are out. line the base with one of those doggy pads, so if he/she wees, it gets absorbed.
