12v deck lights with cpc

Hi all.

Been asked to fit some decking lights, customer has bought 20 of the from ebay.

0.75 flex, three core.

Initially i thought these were 230v, but upon connecting 12v across live and neutral they light.

Are these just 12v but wired in flex with a LNE?

Are these manufactured in a fixed series connected string?

Are are they individually fed/packaged?

They're a contained fitting metal with a plastic collar, individually fed with 6 inches of the three core flex.

What do the instructions say? Do they meet the relevant standards for use in the UK?

No instructions as such.
Just wondering why 12v across LN powers them, despite them having three cores...
I've had one powered up here for a few hours through a trans, and it's still working!

Are these units CE marked?
If the answer is no then do not fit them and advise your customer that you are not happy to accept the liability for installing equipment illegally sold in the uk market.
