Hi Lads, I went to visit my mum who is having her house done up. The thing is she had a spark in to put downlights in. He's since broke his leg so can't finish what he started. She stays 70 miles away which is why she had someone else in to do it. The question is he has first fixed it, just used T&E loop in loop out all the spolights are in place but the tranformer and everything isn't in place, how would you get round this as I have only had dealings with mains 240/230v downlights and not 12v tranformer ones, i imagine you couldn't just leave the transformer out which he has done?

Cheers Lads...

did your mums spark know you were going to use 12v downlights ? i dont think so what you have to do is a bit of rewireing first find the cable that starts at the first light and place it to one side then all other wiring which goes to the otherlights get rid of i am presuming that if there is 4 lights it goes cable into 1 thento2 then to3 then to4 then no where else
all you need then is to connect your transformer to the cable that you have put to one side the first cable and then out of the transformer at the opposite side of it , it then goes to your lights x4

Hi Lads, I managed to get a hold of the boy and he forgot that they where 12v, she still has the receipt so i've told her to get GU 10's and problem solved.

Cheers for the replies boys:D...
