Because the battery system is in place at all I assume that generally there is no mains supply available so the battery would be the primary source.
However if this is the case I am not sure why you would want an automatic switch over to a mains supply.
Still the capability is there if required.
A UPS might be a solution if you can disable the power fail alarms and just run all power through the driver.
However it would be more wasteful of power to convert up and down.
