Ask your supervising Engineer!!

I have no idea what the rules are for SHV, especially when direct buried or in an underground ducted system!! As far as i'm aware, SHV is predominantly an overhead distributed transmission system....

Dear Colleagues,
The project is based in India. So may be any IEE rules or IS rules India who knows it can help us in this. the differential protection relay which we are using is SIEMENS 7SD600. I have ready the manual it does not state much.

Regards
Bala

Most systems use armoured and well-screened twisted pair multicore core coppercable installed in the same trench as the power feeder cable or under the overheadtransmission line in the associated wayleave. The twisted pairs and minimum power-to-pilot cable spacing of approximately 300 mm help to minimize pick-up noise and
induced currents.

Dear Mechelec,

Thanks for the reply. But do we have any IE rules governing this? Or can you also direct any rule where you can find sucha related clause which could help to provide explanation to what we are implementing ?
