Help please, I have just looked at an installation that has been converted from overhead and rod to PME. 25mm tails from the main fuse to the meter then a 16mm T&E to the CCU. I have been asked to upgrade the CCU to 17th edition, do I need to upgrade the tails to 25mm and the main earth to 16mm? Sorry if this has been covered before but I'm a neewbie.

I would go 25mm tails from meter to KMF then depending on run 60 or 80 Amp fuse in KMF. Run 16mm t & e from KMF to new C/U and upgrade earthing.

What's the distance between the service cut-out/meter position and the CU?? If over 3 metres then an additional swtchfuse will be needed to protect the CU tails....

I can't believe this, I've just got back with mistress four legs and you are still arguing the ---- about the size of tails. Its so straight forward it beggers belief.
I think I'm going to start charging a commission for my advice

regards
Mr Corporate
