Hello All,

I'm a qualified electrician but I have not been working in the industry for a few years, with the exception of helping some friends and family every now and then. In the last few weeks I have started back full time on the tools undertaking domestic installations. I realise I am a little rusty and could do with my 17th ed regs. So I have two questions:

1. If I get my 17th ed regs, will this allow me to sign-off my own work rather than being inspected for the Part-P every time I do a new job?
2. Can anyone recommend a training facility in Kent which offers the 17th ed regs course - I am keen to do a 2-3 day course and get it out of the way rather than night school. I am based in Canterbury.

Thanks in advance.

once you get your 17th, part p requires you to join a scam such as niceic, elecsa, napit, to be able to legally sign off notifiable domestic work. it does not apply to commercial or industrial. download the part p doc. from planning portal.
