17th edition course ,I need help

just started a 14 week course 17th edition, well ,third week of 14. I have got 2 past papers home with me, but the problem is ,I cant seem to find the answers to most of the questions. Is there a method to finding the answers in the book or is it just a case of learning where the answers are in the book.Any advice would be helpful.

Give yourself time to become familiar with the layout of the book, some answers do not appear where you might expect. The 2382 exam starts with questions at the front of the book and works through the book (roughly).

Remember that the very basics are in section 1 and then progress to specifics in the later chapters. For all special locations the answers are in the appropriate section of chapter seven.

Start by reading the titles for the sections of the chapters and get an idea where relevant parts are located. e.g if the question is specifically about earthing then it is probably chapter 54 somewhere. If it is only tangentially about earthing or bonding then it may be in protection from electric shock (41) or overcurrent (43).

Once you are familiar with terms used int he questions they normally direct you to the appropriate section.
