Getting put through this soon from work what books are provided? Just the BRB and onsite guide? Are these part of the course fee everywhere?

no not everywhere some places will provide them and some expect you to have your own. most exam ctrs will let you use theirs to take the exams with so there are no notes in them

Did you know that even if you do not own the book and it is not stocked at your local public library, you can ask them to get the book for you, even if its on loan from another library?

I found this out by accident, as l couldnt afford the book, when l did my 17th last year. Somebody told me about it. I checked it out and asked the library to get it, which they did. There was a ÂŁ1.50 surcharge attached but im sure that's better than ÂŁ50.

And if they try to fob you off, insist that they do this and tell them that the book is for educational use, in preparation for an exam. Once, l am told, that you have informed a public library that you need a book for educational reasons, and they dont have it, then they must try to acquire it for you...

Hope that helps...

It varies across different training centres, as does the price. I did it at the local college (update for ÂŁ205) which included the NICEIC guide and loan of a revision book, but we had to provide our own BRB and OSG,which we were allowed to tag and highlight.
